Mexico Outreach

First off, on behalf of my team, I would like to thank all of you who have given so generously to our team and constantly remembering us in your prayers! We are all very excited as we get our hearts prepared to serve in Mexico. I will be doing my best to give you guys the latest updates of our journey through this blog!

Let me start off with some updates! 

-We've successfully recruited 14 members including the 2 leaders (Gina and myself)! We had 2 extra applicants for the team which we reluctantly turned away.

-Last Tuesday (23October) was our first team meeting where we got together to introduce ourselves as well as start planning for some of the things we will be doing in the weeks ahead! We bought each member a small notebook for them to be able to write down their prayer requests, what they are thankful for and how God has been working in their lives. This will help us not only get to know one another better as we share our lives with one another but also to really just take time to reflect on how God has been present in our lives. 

-Yesterday (1, November), we were invited to serve at a friend's church for a Halloween event. It was a great opportunity for us to start serving together as a team. The members of the church are predominantly Mexicans which also gives some of our members a feel of what it will be like when we are down in Mexico. We were really blessed by such opportunity.

These were the lovely people from the team whom I got the chance to serve with! I look forward to telling you guys more about each member on the team! I will be working on hopefully providing a brief introduction of each member on the team! I will also be working on getting more pictures :)!

Reminisce

Hacking into Travis's blog for another post,

Love blogging these days,

Wanna express feelings through words,

Flowing out like a volcano eruption,

Reading back the "ancient" posts in this blog,

Adrenaline rush and a couple of goose-bumps,

OMG What have I written?

It's so cheesy like cheezy wedges,

But thanks to all those words,

Memory didn't fade as time goes,

So I'm writing this posts to recap

What we Geng Geng Geng had done

For the past few months

When all the Aces still here,

1st: 

A Geng Geng Geng trip to Morib,

Wasn't a trip but a treasure hunting competition,

Driving to every single corner of Klang Valley,

Travis, CD and Amy did the brain thinking,

While By and Zy did the driving and navigation,

Paid through the nose for the competition,

But it's worth the bonding session =D,

Slapped yc twice once on his face and once on his lap,

There were mosquitoes,LOL

The food and accommodation were good,

Comfy and spacious perfect for relaxation,

Fusion of Oriental and Western food for dinner,

We won 14th (not quite sure,forgotten dy),

A radio for 5 of us, yes, "A" stands for ONE,

A bowl of Jojo PanMee sums up the whole trip,

Introducing Travis to Ditoso and Monopoly Deal,

Our yumcha sessions weren't just food but games,

Went stalking zy for the whole day,

When he was working in Paradigm Mall, 

Then went dimsum at night for the first time was so crazy,

Later dessert at UFO a substitute for Snowflakes,

Updates =P

Felt like blogging, hence the post

Managed to hack into the blog after few trials 

Have been a long drag since the last post 

Recently 'graduated', 

Wanna thank my family and friends who attended that special night, 

Hope it isn't too cheesy,

God just put a full-stop in my life after a rollercoaster ride,

But it's a good way to end it, 

All my hardships and endurance for these 3 months paid off,

After a steep downfall and stop out of the blue isn't a good thing,

Feeling so lonely, bored and clueless,

It's a holiday though I've class once a week,

Finally realized being in denial, a defense mechanism against the reality,

In 2013, I will be in the real life Hunger Game,

It's the survival of the fittest,

It's either being a prey or a predator,

Everyone kinda parted from each other,

Perhaps everyone is feeling the same,

Weak and lonely,

Fear will be our downfall,

Courage and faith be our strength,

Stay true to ourselves,

Believe and being passionate of what we do,

Will propel us to the peak of life...
